Hypnotherapy for Anxiety and Stress

When you try to go to sleep at night or wake up do your worries go round and round in vicious circles making your problems seem worse and worse?

Is worry about an impending event taking over your thoughts?  Do you worry about small things, are you unable to control worrying, are negative thoughts taking over your life, do you always look on the dark side of life, do you have a negative or critical internal voice, or maybe, once you have started worrying, you feel you can’t stop?

Does talking about your concerns not seem to improve anything?

Maybe you suffer from sweating, palpitations, chest pain, raised blood pressure, breathlessness, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, diarrhoea, vomiting, urge to pass urine, insomnia?   Some of these symptoms may have a medical cause, so it is always advisable to check with your medical practitioner first and the therapist may seek written permission from your doctor before working with you.

Are you apprehensive / irritable? Do you feel a sense of hopelessness or lack of confidence?  Do you suffer from poor concentration, or have difficulty in making decisions? Do you feel overwhelmed, have poor judgement, or maybe you have overreacted to unexpected new problems, seeing only the negative?

Do you not have enough time, are there too many demands on you and too little time to relax?

Do you have fears of impending disaster?

Anxiety is very common.  Research has shown that more than 1 in 10 people are likely to have a ‘disabling anxiety disorder’ at some stage in their life.

All these things can be symptoms of anxiety and stress and maybe hypnotherapy can help and together we can improve your feelings – change habits of being anxious and stressed into being calm and relaxed, perhaps?
